Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute,
founded
in 1996, is a national not-for-profit organization devoted to improving adoption
policy and practice. The Adoption Institute is a reliable, unbiased and
respected voice for ethical adoption practices that respect all people touched
by adoption.
The National Adoption Information Clearinghouse (NAIC) was established by Congress in 1987 to provide free information on all aspects of adoption. The NAIC website provides comprehensive information on domestic and intercountry adoption.
Adopt.org The National Adoption Center expands adoption opportunities for children throughout the United States, particularly for children with special needs and those from minority cultures.
Comeunuity.com - Adoption is one of the largest and oldest parent support sites for adoption on the internet. Founded in 1996, It provides parent to parent support on international adoption, special needs adoption, how to adopt, adoptive parenting, adoption health, and more.
RainbowKids.com is a monthly on-line international adoption magazine. This site offers free of charge, guides on special needs adoption, older child adoption, How To Adopt, Getting Started, After you Adopt and much more. Rainbow kids is not an adoption agency, and does not directly place children into adoptive families. It is a voice of advocacy for the children waiting for families.
Families with Children from China is a network of parent support groups in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. While some of the chapters are formally organized others are less structured groups of families who support one another with a variety of activities.
